Future Plans:

Having completed the MPH curriculum, Carson is starting an internal medicine residency at the medical college of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. While in residency, he is planning to carry out a research project he developed during the Culminating Experience courses of the MSU MPH program.

Future Plans:

Lindsey is currently searching for a job in the public health field and would like to continue employment within the state of Michigan. Until then, she will continue to serve the on-campus community at Michigan State University in East Lansing. Go Green!

Future Plans:

Upon graduating with her MPH, Ellen began medical school at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine and she hopes to use her public health skills when she becomes a physician.

Future Plans:

Brendan is working as an intern at the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) this fall and hopes to continue this work as a public health adviser in January.

Future Plans:

Melody is planning to continue her volunteer role as a research assistant at a multi-site prenatal stress study. She is currenlty working on her applications to medical school this admissions cycle as well as working in her community as a public health professional.

Future Plans:

Shawn is currently the metabolic unit manager at the State Public Health Newborn Screening Laboratory. She plans to continue working there as she is passionate about the work they do to help the infants and families in the state of Michigan. She is a co-author on a journal article that will be released later this summer and will be a presenter at the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL) Newborn Screening Virtual Symposium this fall. She looks forward to future opportunities that her MPH will allow her to pursue.

Kush is currently completing her MD degree at Central Michigan University.

Future Plans:

After graduation Claire will be staying at MSU to pursue a PhD in Epidemiology starting fall semester of 2020. The MPH program is what opened her eyes to the possibility of attending further graduate school and helped her discover her passion for global health which she intends to pursue during her doctoral program.

Future Plans:

Bhreyana currently plans to stay in accounting but she is looking to explore a transition into healthcare consulting.

Future Plans:

Olajumoke is looking at every opportunity the MPH degree will present and is very excited about what the future holds. She believes the program has prepared her for the future ahead. She hopes to obtain employment in Ontario. She is also exploring the possibility of pursuing a PhD after the program.

Kieran plans to continue his employment with the Center for Sexuality and Health Disparities as a research project manager, and he is currently applying for PhD programs in public health across the country.
