Future Plans:

Upon completion of her MPH, Meghan is undergoing various interviews for two prospective careers. She is attracted to a career in which she will be promoting health, preventing disease, providing health education, and conducting disease surveillance. At this time, she has been offered a position with the Macomb County Health Department as a COVID-19 intervention specialist and she has additional interviews scheduled for a clinical infection preventionist position with a hospital in the Metro-Detroit area.

Future Plans:

Lindsey is currently working as a senior program representative for a defense contracting company and is excited to enter the field of public health. She hopes to pursue a rewarding career in emergency preparedness or epidemiology. In the meantime, Lindsey will be exploring funding opportunities for the public health program proposal she developed as part of the MPH practicum, as well as other efforts to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 within her local community.

Future Plans:

After completing her MPH, Molly will complete her DO degree and plans to become a general practice pediatrician emphasizing in preventive practices.

 

 Jennifer Thompson Photo

Future Plans:

Jennifer hopes to collaborate with partners in the field around just and healthy policing - for those they serve and for the people in those careers. She has spent a lot of time in research around violence prevention and has been a trainer for criminal justice professionals working to improve system responses for traumatized victims. Jennifer does not have immediate plans for her next steps, however she knows that she has a lot of opportunities out there and is already engaged in conversations with colleagues about potential research in which she can apply the lessons she learned throughout the MPH program. She is considering pursuing a PhD within the next few years. In the meantime, she will be working on several manuscripts for publication as a result of the work she completed in her capstone paper.
