Master of Public Health Degrees

Online CEPH-accredited MPH

Michigan State University offers a rigorous, terminal professional MPH degree through the College of Human Medicine.  The 100% online curriculum provides flexibility, affordability, and focused opportunities to help students achieve their goals. Our program emphasizes practical instruction, research, and community partnerships to promote health equity.

The program is designed for those who desire comprehensive leadership education in public health. Since public health impacts every aspect of modern society, the applications of this knowledge extend into many other professional fields, such as:

  • Current public health professionals seeking career advancement
  • Medical students and clinicians wanting a broader systemic view
  • Nurses and health care administrators shifting to population health
  • Data analysts and researchers targeting health metrics
  • Policymakers and advocates fighting for community wellness
Gain foundational knowledge and CEPH-aligned competencies on a full-time or part-time schedule. If you want to customize your education, we offer three distinct concentrations: Generalist, Rural Public Health, and Public Health Data Management and Analytics.

All new students are welcomed together directly into the MPH program, establishing a strong, shared foundation. During their first year, students meet with an academic advisor to select and declare a specialized concentration.
